Caution! High Radiation Area!

The sweet lady in the straw hat who always has a smile on her face radiating hope to everyone around her...

The tired old man in the wheelchair in need of strength and endurance for one more day...

The couple who had their first appointment with the radiation oncologist today, full of fear and questions...

The beautiful elderly lady on a follow-up appointment.  Her hair is perfect, her make-up in place.  She wishes me luck...

I pray for these who God has brought into my life, if only for moments, that God would supernaturally heal them and meet their particular needs.

When I enter the radiation treatment room there is a rack of blue molds, each one representing a person being treated for cancer.  On the other wall are cubby holes with head molds in them.  I am grateful that one of them doesn't belong to me.  While they are radiating my body I pray for each person these molds represent.  God has given me a very special assignment to change the world through prayer.  I am  honored to be the one He chose for the job!

"But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,  and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life."  Psalm 42:8

"In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out." Ephesians 6:18

"Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude."  Colossians 4:2

  2. Hi Laura,

I was getting a pedicure yesterday from Apryl at Radiance and your name came up! We talked about this very thing. How God is using you to impact others and lives will be forever changed.

Last week, Pastor Kerry talked about 'give what you need'. So if you need energy, you give energy (working out). You need a friend, be a friend etc etc. I came home after church and thought of you thinking you need health, how do you give health? But then I realized that by you having salvation and hope that you can give this to others. Perhaps it is comfort you are needing through this and I see you giving comfort to so many and giving the hope that can only come through our Lord and Savior. Gods is working miracles in and through you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to pray for you and for using this journey to bring others to know Him more completely!

  3. How Awesome it must be to know that God chose YOU SPECIFICALLY to be His beacon of light to the people you are coming in contact with during your treatments. You are definately GOD'S SPECIAL AGENT on this mission. Your cancer is merely your disguise, your passport so to speak, as you go into hand to hand combat with satan in these other patient's lives. You have a mighty faith in God - AND HE HAS A MIGHTY FAITH in YOU- to deliver His Words, Blessings, Strength, and Hope to others...still praying for you...xoxo
